Apple confirmed shipment to ClubMac this morning. 150 G4 1.25 boxes are in route. Should arrive early next week. 100 of the 150 are sold, including mine.

Mhmmmm...
http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/20/hdmi-enabled-black-xbox-360-in-late-april-for-479/
Okay, assuming this isn't an April Fool's Joke (the price is quite awkward, but the article appears to be legit), I hope this means the Premium system gets a price drop. Price is a bigger hurdle for me. Then comes size (I have to figure out where to put this thing...), but I guess I just have to deal. It'd be cool if this means black X-Box's on the lower end models, but I doubt it. And it's very uncool the 120 GB hard drive will be available separately at $200 or under... Guess I'm sticking to iTunes for my media for a while longer.

Ive been using xp pro for 3 months here at work, and I have to say I'm quietly impressed. Its never crashed, nothing has unepectedly quit (and its running a bunch of custom pci cards, so if ever it was flakey, id have expected it to be so with this rig...). My only complaint is the 'look' of it - osX does look nicer, but then osX is a lot less snappy.
So where does my money go to with Apple? I posses a bunch of apples, and each time I buy a new one i feel a little less 'happy' and a little more like a regular consumer. After all, the days of non proprietory hardware being used in apples are gone - its all usb and firewire (and not even cutting edge usb at that). Some of my reasons for disliking M$ are also beginning to surface with appl - .mac for a start. What osX has done is open my eyes to using linux at home (or maybe x86 solaris) ...switching? hmmm....
oh, and did anyone mention that apples floating point performance was good? no - its awful!

Just a little fuel for this discussion.

From Spymac (sorry)
We, the ever-speculating Apple faithful have missed a major piece of evidence pointing to the next Power Mac design. In fact, I would have to rank this unforgivable oversight as a "huge blunder."
We blew it.
How many of you recall the red-colored Apple Power Mac motherboard that was briefly listed on eBay three months ago, before being removed at the behest of Apple Legal?
How many of you also recall the Power Mac "prototype" that was briefly posted to a certain French web site, MacBidouille.com, the month prior to the actual release of the new machine? Again, Apple Legal pounced, and the photos and other documents were hurriedly taken down.
Now, how many of you recall that the new Power Mac, when released, was exactly the same machine originally shown in the leaked pictures?
One last question. Do you remember that the motherboard on eBay was the same motherboard layout as the one visible in the spy photo, and was the same motherboard layout that has now been released by Apple?

Does anyone know how to about finding out who sent an anonymous e-mail? Is there a way to find the IP address of the sender?
Thanks,
Not quite. You can usually find the IP address of the MAILSERVER it was sent from, which would usually be the mailserver of an Ineternet Service Provider. Sometimes you can narrow it down to a company, occasionally only, you can narrow it down to a specific IP on the ISP's network. With that the ISP theoretically can find out what account was used to send it, however they won't disclose that to you unless there is a legal reason compelling them to do so.

I really like this game. It takes a little bit of time to get used to how the units are balanced, but after that it seems like it will be really fun to play.

i personally would very rarely use a superdrive. Especially at 5 bucks a disk. I have no problem backing stuff up to an external HD or to multiple cd-rw's. I agree with the crowd that says keep the form factor the same and toss a 24x burner inside. The dvd-r isn't worth the extra money to me.

Well, if this is what microsoft's planning in 5 years, i'm anxiously awaiting what Apple will be doing :) i picture full-immersion 3D computer systems that are too abstract for us to imagine right now... every single part of our brain being used and interacting...
well maybe this is 10 or 15 years off... but i don't know, advances come in leaps and bounds...
:)

Oh Good! They got rid of that stupid extra window. Using expose or command-squiggly (~) always showed an extra tiny window that could not be closed. All gone... WHee!!
Yeah, the extra Expose' window is finally gone. Way to go FireFox.

Sorry for the OT question but I figure you folks will know this. I'm thinking about scrapping a very old linksys for a new Airport Extreme Base Station. Wii does support WPA, right?

I figured I'd get blasted for this after I post. The thing is, the share feature is incorporated into iTunes and lets you listen to other peoples music. I want to download their music so I can put it on my iPod. I'm still only listening to it and not selling it or making money off it.. I dunno.
That's still stealing music. They buy it. You take it for yourself. Stealing? Yes.

256 mb RAM
500 mb hard disk space

I'm sure this will be posted later. Maybe it already has been posted. Google X is no more.

Apple sure is suing a lot these days. Is there a connection? Probably but it is truly justified.
Somebody posted without reading the thread... ;)

I wonder what the automatic check for updates version of this will work like (seems to not be available yet). Will it auto-install itself, or will it just link back to the mozilla homepage?

...To be in a situation where you have to suffer an invasion of privacy just to prove that you don't want to buy a product is, quite frankly, bollocks.
You won't find me disagreeing with that. It is bollocks but what would be even more galling is to be put down for a TV license for merely owning a computer.

Is it just me? Am I the only person in the world who just doesn't see the benefits of Firefox? Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy that everyone else is happy with it but so far I haven't seen a need to change over from Explorer in XP. I don't use Windows all that much so I admitedly don't have a huge wealth of experience but still...
Ahh well, as long as SOMETHING erodes Microsoft's market share!
Maybe that Firefox embraces web standards rather than eschewing them? That is my reason for using it.
