I don't think we will see dual initially, because the 970 should be fast enough to keep up with the market in a single processor configuration. However according to The Register the IBM 970 is AltiVec equipped, which means it does have the ability to multiprocess the way the current G4s do

Hi all, I'm having trouble trying to figure out what will be best for me as far as hosting goes (I know nothing about it). I have read what people have said here before on MR so that lead me looking here...https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hosting/shared.asp?se=%2B&ci=260 Now what I'm going to do is the following...Political Illustrations/cartoons from Flash/Painter, some type of a blog (to blow off daily steam at parts of society) with a reply/comment section if possible and also a few pages to see my work (online portfolio of static images/drawings).
I don't know how much transfer/bandwidth (in the realworld) I'd go through but I'm going to plaster links all over the place to get things rolling for a daily cartoon and as said before Political Illustrations. I may use iWeb to start just to keep it simple and then upload it or if most here think a .mac account would be better with "BUYING" a go daddy Domain name then I'll try that.
The main thing is I want a specfic Domain Name (I have a .com in mind that isn't used yet) and easy to upload my cartoons with blog features (replys could go to an email address and not on the blog page/site itself).
Does that link with the middle of the road package sound good for a start or not enough of what I need for people to look at the cartoons?
Thanks for the help and input on this everyone :D

It's good to see someone using all the power of the machine. Sounds like a good idea to me.
I'm so tired of seeing them at my store though. We keep getting them returned, apparently people buy em, go home, see they arent going for insane amounts and return them. >.>'
You know its bad when you've sold the same PS3 7 times over. :-p
Its a really nice machine too. :( Poor mr. PS3.
I love your icon too. :D Much less creepier than that Marilyn Manson. Though my brother-in-law loves Marilyn Manson.

If true...nothing I need. I'm going to be using apple TV for my movies and what not now...so no need for a bigger hard drive. I have 19 games all with save files and some with downloadable content and still have 13.5 gigs from my original...no need for more just to have it.

Ahhhh, damnit! Is this thing real or not? I would love to have the new Duo, but a nagging voice says that it's just the usual bullplop. If this isn't real, then what is inkwell really used for? See, it's real. But that sony looks nearly identical. It's fake. I wish the answer would come soon!

I never knew that Hotmail was a separate company  .
Anyway, back to the point. I think the next company to be acquired by Microsoft will be Apple :)

What do you mean? my Quicksilver I was only $1600. It was perfect, I wouldnt mind paying a little more for a American made Mac. Looking at what they made then vs now then was better:D
Define a "little" more....
We are past the tipping point I'm afraid. The global economy and any comp-anies who seek pure profit are almost forced to do this. Imagine every component in a Mac made in America. Then imagine that 1600 buck box going for, say, 3,000. That okay? Do that across the board and you get the domino effect of HEAVY inflation, the dollar tanking earlier than it would inevitably done, and more.
This issue is TOO big for us right now, and a boycott is silly. Like a poster above said, it's IMPOSSIBLE not to be untouched by cheap labor now.
It took decades to do this, it will take considerably longer to fix... and we may never do so.

Just know a general sense of Apple, its computers, and its software. Beaware of the company you are working for i.e. how passionate Mac users and Apple itself can be about the products they bring.
In the application though it does ask something about being 18. I dont remember what though (no I'm not an employee just speaking from the jobs i've gone through).
I believe your best bet would be not even knowledge of the products but just how you portray your love for macs. Everything else can be picked up on the way, but a true and genuine love for the company that is able to spread to its customers will be your way in.

It's because laptops are becoming in short supply period. It has nothing to do with Amazon besides they or whoever they get them from probably doesn't stock many.
The short supply of laptops is usually a precursor to an upgrade and many people are taking it as a sign of that.

I gave my old Nintendos to the youth group, the NES still sees some action and it's about fourteen years old. It works perfectly too, unlike a lot of other NESes I've seen.
If you count emulators, I still play SNES most often. I was working on getting through all the SNES/Super Famicon Final Fantasy games but got sidetracked with Baldur's Gate II. I'll get back to FF6 before long.

...I know here there are loads of competitions where being a resident of the UK is one of the conditions of entry. Just a quick look now at the rules of the promotion running on the back of my juice bottle reveals... "Promotion open to UK residents only (including IoM and CI) aged 16+".
Looks like that's another you can't enter sorry! ;)
Well it's a bit different when the draw is for turning up at the store. The conditions on your juice bottle a likely there because that product could be sold in other countries than those eligible for entry.
I guess they don't want some French dude winning an iPod and having to ship it to Paris if they pull out of that market and end up not being in a position to support their new customer. of summit.

It's not hairsplitting at all, it should have been pretty clear that the DRM was not cracked. Bypassed would have been an obviously better choice of words...
BTW- With the Winamp output stacker or Audio Hijack Pro, does the quality of the resultant WAV file depend on the quality of your soundcard?
I am not familiar with the details of what is going on, but I'm curious as to how good the produced WAV files are (basically how close they are to the original WMA.)
If you re-encode of course there is further loss in quality.
i have no clue as to the world of auido hijack pro, but when it comes to this meathod resampling the quality loss kinda has to do with both the sound card and the machine it self. The really expensive sound cards have better "insluation technology" form interference caused by the noise your machines generate.

I thought i was rather positive mentioning us getting back at them in a month or so. :p ;)
As for fending of the knights.
I could add maybe 5 more CPU's to the cause. I'm a bit reluctant on user comments (more heat, more fan noise).
Bah, will probably install it this evening on at least 1 machine (for testing user reactions).

jefhatfield left for awhile, but he couldn't bear to stay away for too long. I haven't seen anyone named Kela since I got here and I've heard numerous times that spikey was banned forever.

Im curious as to what OS it would use, a scaled down version of OSX would be my guess, so it could run Inkwell, but then again it could be somehow linked to the iPod, at least the hardware of it since iPod has so many hidden deactivated features that many PDAs have. Any thoughts?
