It's like a little 5 dollar sword and shield combo from Toys R Us glued on a painted Wii. If that's your cup of tea I know plenty of kids stores that sell that stuff cheap.
And I never run out of ammo in Halo :D

Hahahaha..."and I never run out of ammo in Halo...."
I'm indifferent to the mod (it looks like good work, but not my style), but that comment was hi-larious.

Loosely related, has anyone else just been upgraded to the beta of Yahoo's new mail interface? I have to say, although it's a little slow, it seems really nice. And actually very similar to Roundcube (which is why I mentioned it). It works in FF -- I'm not sure if it works in Safari, because I haven't tried it yet. :o
Now if they would go back to offering free POP in the US...

You should be able to ride an Amtrak train directly from Lancaster, since the store seems to be just north of the tracks. Since there is a SEPTA regional train there, it should be an easy ride for people from Philly and Micro Center in Radnor is pretty much right on the way, too. It was just off U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and the new Apple store is probably another 15 minutes west on the SEPTA train.
It's certainly cheaper than putting a store in the Philadelphia city limits.

Lots of good tips, Nagromme, but I was able to get the thing to vertically spin without the SHIFT modifier. I think you just have to have it lined up on the axis or something. Too bad you can't get it to spin on both axises (yes, axises)

Unless there is a compelling reason, I'm staying with Safari :)
have you tried Safari's Debug menu that can be activated with OnyX or TinkerTool?

I think it looks kinda nice.
But, really, who cares about how it looks as long as it works? At least it's not as ugly or cluttered as this. (http://www.abisource.com/screenshots/abi-macosx.jpg)

I just read an article on cnet that Intel just did a demonstration of a 4.5 ghz P4 that they overclocked to run at 4.7 stable. This thing looks like it could smoke anything in it's path. Hope Apple is whipping up something special soon...

nah the great thing about Google at the moment is that it's the lightest page on the internet. It's nice to be there if you choose to use it, but for now keep Google as it is.
I agree. I first switched to google because of it's anti yahooness of trying to put everything on their frontpage. Stocks. Wedding proposals. Weather in some city i'm not affiliated with. I hated it.
Google said "what are you searching for?"

I wish they'd put the HD DVD drive into the system as well...the official reason why they won't is that they don't want developers to rely on having the extra space. It would segment the games into regular and HDDVD only.
I don't think HDDVD is obviously going to die. It seems to like it competes well with BluRay, has more units on the market, and at least HDDVD jewel cases fit into my existing DVD racks. BluRay is, inexplicably, shipping their discs in jewel cases that are shorter, wider, and thinner. WTF?
Blu-Ray is outselling HD DVD 3:1 right now, there are more blu-ray movies than HD DVD, 20 of the 25 top movies are on blue ray while 1 is on HD DVD. 1 Studio has given exclusive support to HD DVD, 5 are on Blu-Rays side.. HD DVD will start to phase out by years end, by Christmas next year i doubt any retailer will sell them, short of the discount outlets that sell the things that won't sell in mainstream retail. look around, ive posted a ton of articles from Neilson, and other reputable sources and analysts that basically say the same thing.
This is why no imo HD DVD is integrated, MS is smart enough not to include a dying technology and then piss their customer base off again with the same machine...

It is not the law that made iTunes music incompatible with other MP3 players, it's the file format and DRM design. Further, Apple has done nothing illegal in its choices and implementation. There is therefore no legitimate reason to break the law--your rights are what you agreed to when purchasing the music and nothing more.
By that logic, women would still not be able to vote. Look at other societies that do not allow people to protest "unjust" laws. Compare where they stand to where we stand. I am simply trying to take us further still down the road of freedom for all humans. Anything that acts to restrict the natural association of humans is a Bad Thing. DRM, by definition, falls into this category.
DRM does not, in theory, infringe on your license rights.
Again, I am bound by these laws but I do not need to AGREE with them. Do you agree with them? [That is a direct question btw.]
Your freedom of choice comes with certain sacrifices
All actions (free or not free) require sacrifices. So what is your point?
and restrictions, none of which have been imposed on you illegally or prohibit you from legal use of the product. The only reason to break the law here is for the purpose of breaking the law, not for any delusions of your rights to do as you wish with music.
Option A (Legal Participation): Buy the music and abide by the laws
Option B (Legal Non-Participation): Don't buy the music and not be subject to any laws
Option C (Something Different): Think for yourself and live life according to your own laws
I will take C cuz it allows for both A & B while reserving my ability to think for myself. Even if I end up the same place as you, the journey I took to get there will make all the difference.

Please, enough with the spec matching. I'll tell you where the missing $1500 went: research and development, OS X (That's a big one...), and the fact that you know that your computer is an all around better machine.

Plus I think the Formac has even nicer styling, and it seems, better performance than the Apple displays in terms of brightness, viewing angle and color accuracy. Am I wrong? Is anyone aware of any issues or limitations regarding these displays?

I have a question for all of you World of Warcraft players.
When I play games, I don't like to have to interact with other players. I don't like to wait for games to start online. I don't like to be schooled by people who spend exponentially more time playing than I do. I like to play for whatever chunks of time I have and that's it. If I have 30 minutes to play, I want to spend it playing and enjoying myself. I don't want to spend 20 minutes waiting to get a group together.
With all this in mind, could I still play and enjoy World of Warcraft?
Sure, as others have stated, you can play WOW. But why? You could enjoy the scenary in this very large, simulated world. But the quests aren't terribly interesting. I'd say you might get something out of dabbling for a month or so, but ultimately there are other games that are better for solo play.
And if you do decide to play, avoid PVP servers...

New Updates: The 360 is connecting to the internet. This can be seen through certain services. Our local police force have a few tricks up their sleeves, its just a matter of them being around when its connected. Based on the times that the system is on and connected it can be deduced that children are behind it. (Think about when you did bad things as a kid, you prolly did them at night. And by bad i don't mean theivery, i mean other stuff). And if its kids i'm a little miffed that their parents haven't noticed anything new around the house.

Single player. Gameplay aside, I'm a huge fan of a good story. Games, books, films. Multiplayer stories just seem non-existent.

It does take a long time to load on older g3 systems. And after it loads, if you are a fast typer, you can type faster then it can display what you type.

MacRumors has changed too much.
No I'm not just blabbering on and on, there was a community, of friends, of people you know and can talk to.
Now -- Its just like on random threads people are really really nasty.
I mean even just repost, people can yell repost, but its more like 'Why the hell did you repost this... God I've seen this 10000000x times... Geez this AGAIN!'
I mean it was alright before if you just didn't talk to people outside the forums, but now its not even like people want to talk to anyway.
Members don't care much about the forums or apple or anything specific there are -- they are all just here.
I mean it just happened right before the forum change skins, everyone started to get nasty.
I dunno if anyone can be done but heck I remember were members would get their birthday posted in community disc. but not anymore.
Just like today for my birthday.

Happy Birthday MrMacMan :)
I try to occasionally say Happy Birthday to people I can remember...
Basically, it sounds like the village is now a town or a city where individuals are more anonymous and less respectful of each other's views.
But don't give up on it yet. There are plenty of interesting, fun, thoughtful people here -- you get out of it what you put in.

Things are about to change...
In order to let version 1.0 of this widget really blow your socks of, some changes had to be made on the ExtremeOverclocking side.
The guys are great in adding some extra info i requested. Small bummer: the current version of the widget doesn't work anymore (it has no idea the xml file changed - no AI yet, sry). I'll try to do a quick fix by the end of the week (should be faster, just not in the mood right now  ). 1.0 should be out before the end of the month (september that is ;)).
Sorry about this,
Keep up the fold,
Cheerio,
me
So that explains why my widget broke today. Looking forward to the new changes. Should be fantastic... :)
