Yeah, I can't stand it when sites start blasting music at you.
Maybe someone at Apple was making their MySpace page and accidentally uploaded it to the wrong server? :o

Sorry about the thread jack, but I'm looking into hooking a mini up to my TV. I don't have DVI on my TV, so I was thinking about getting the adapter that Apple sells and just going the component or S-Video route. Is this the approach you used? Does it look good enough for games/video/etc.?
Oh, yeah - this is a really cool plug in. I'm not usually a plug-in kind of guy, but this one I like. Makes for a great contest to see who can spin it the fastest.

I think it was Motorola's Fault to start with. Ever since the G4 Debuted they have not pushed for improvements and left Apple having to drop speeds in realeased products (500 to 450 in the original), and dual processors (July2000) with no speed bump.
Apple should have realised long ago Mot uselessness and SERIOUSLY investigated other options, so the recent 1.25 GHZ update and any future poor updates are Apple's fault!

it's also a very compelling reason for those who haven't seen the ID light.
That said, this might have a lot to do with Adobe....
Now, apple could take a lesson from Adobe and figure out a way to offer Office V.X with the machines.
Strike a deal with MS to buy, who knows, 10k lisences of Office. And then run a switch ad (janie? are you there? Save Xmas for me!) that tacks on a "buy a powermac from the apple store between now and x.x.02 and receive a free copy of MS Office.
maybe Make it a switcher thing-- if you switch, free office.
Watch the macs fly off the shelves.

Well, here are a few of spikey's horrific tantrums, with four of them involving a one-on-one flamepiss contest with "Xg5". (The first thread is _much_ longer than the others.)

Currently Office:mac 2004 is, in my opinion, a superior version to Office 2003 for Windows.
I'd love to agree, but unfortunately its VBA support is lacking. I had many Excel XP spreadsheets that required recoding to work in 2004 :(

There's nothing as irritating as the variable speed fan in my 7600/400 G3! Everytime it needs to do some heavy calculations the fan's rpm goes up, and after a while it goes down again...

Congratulations on the purchase! I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on whether you think Apple Mac's are proportionally 'more advanced' than PC's compared with 20 years ago. I think the differences have become more subtle, but they're there.

I reiterate, I looked at Archos products before there was an iPod to which I could be biased. In fact, now that I think about it, I looked at Archos products before I ever owned a Mac. Based on what I found at that time, I opted not to buy an MP3 player at all because none of the options available to me at the time (including those from Archos) were satisfactory to me.
Besides this, I have stated precisely why I prefer the iPod.
On the other hand, Erv, so far you have:
