This news is old, it came out last month. :p
Faux News. *LOL* :D
They even skewed this article. BASTARDS!!! The game doesn't need to be violent, just a high action game. And to be more anal, "Untreal Tournament" was used for the study, not those thumb-twiddling additions. :p
I can see why Tetris wouldn't do it, since it requires you become focused on one area and visually things really don't change much.

Strange. It doesnt really have all that much info in it. It just has pictures of the p58 and since it has come out it isnt really that informative anymore. The reason the one that the one i got from apple is interesting is that it has a mention and the circuitry info for firewire 2 ports.

I'm surprised it's out for Mac. The devs were saying that there were specific problems in the Mac version that had to be dealt with before release...

BBc does Click Online! Right? That show is mighty un-apple. But it is always good to see Apple making front page news.
I don't know if I'm being unecessarily harsh, but Click Online is possibly one of the worst-made BBC shows I've ever seen! The production values are a bit off - sometimes there's a studio, but often there's not.
I do remember that the guy who did Click Online was reading the BBC One News on the day of the BBC Strike last year though... that made me chuckle!!
Can't remember exactly where but I'm sure that I read that the BBC are in the process of introducing into the TV & Radio resources side of things all things apple, possibly to do with XSAN and the like.
Ever since this (see link below) came about last year, they seem to be more cautious, like other tv companies in the uk about apple products, that whenever they now have them in tv programmes a proportion of the computers have the apple logo covered over.
http://www.brandrepublic.com/bulletins/br/article/518896/bbc-removes-apple-logo-spooks-amid-product-placement-furore/%20
I can believe that Spooks was investigated, it seems to have Apple equipment everywhere, so much so that my Mum noted I might want to start working for MI5 ;)
It does seem a little silly to be investigating them though - those guidelines are there to stop people making money off of product placement. If a producer decides they want to use apple equipment in their show because it looks modern and cool, then why not?? They certainly never show Mac OS X, no matter what equipment they're using, the screens always seem to be running some sort of MoD OS!

I wonder what the automatic check for updates version of this will work like (seems to not be available yet). Will it auto-install itself, or will it just link back to the mozilla homepage?

So, I don't know if there's a thread on this already, but I gotta ask.
Have any of you guys done something really nice for Apple because it's Apple, that you wouldn't do for, say, Dell or another PC company?
What I mean - I bought an Intel iMac and got a printer with it, filed out the $100 off form (for the buy a Mac get a printer promo), sent it in. I returned the iMac for a full refund a few weeks later, and ended up getting a Mac Mini instead. As I was checking out at the store, a saleslady said I could get a free printer if I wanted, since I got the Mini. I felt bad for still having a free printer from the iMac though, since I technically didn't get a computer with it cause of the full refund - so I declined. I thought about it for a second, especially since I could probably get a decent amount for a brand new in-the-box printer + refund check, but decided I didn't wanna screw Apple out of $100. To be honest, I don't know if I would have decided the same thing if it had been Dell.
So... your thoughts? Your stories?

When my display was set to 1280x960, the animation chops up every now and then, mostly during the turning when it switches sides...
How can I take the menu for this out of the iTunes menu bar? It's already cluttered as it is and it's starting to intrude into my stuff on the right of the menu bar.

As you can plainly see, that was joke. Why is it that people completely misunderstand all the time? Oh, I know. You did it on purpose!
EDIT: It's no wonder why I call myself Shrek, cuz I knew this was gonna happen eventually. :(
I mean if Apple did make a cell with Moto then it obviously would be called the iPhone.....
Uh, like duh. Read the title of this thread if you wanna know more.

I would love to be able to work at an Apple store part-time (just a couple of hours a week). It would be wonderful to be in a room surrounded by the latest and greatest Apple technology and helping people out.
That and that fact that you can just talk Mac all day... I mean I dont know about your Mac people out there but in Texas there are alot of us, but few that acctually want to talk about the (place product here).

I saw the Orlando CompUSA packed with more people in the tiny Mac section than the entire store. I am curious what the percentage of total sales is Mac related vs PC crap. Of course some software and hardware works with both so I am sure they count that as Windows related sales.
I would like to visit a CompUSA in 10 years and see a tiny section in the corner of Microsoft Windows Vista and the rest of the store focused on Apple and Linux. I am sure Microsoft will still be on Vista by then.

I don't understand how domain speculators make money. To grab a domain that someone might want, they have to pay annually for it as long as they hold it. They can sell it for a profit if somebody comes looking, but they have to make enough money on that sale to cover all of the domains they hold that nobody ends up wanting. They have to have either a large markup or a great success rate to make a profit, and I'm puzzled how they manage that.

well they had no reason to take it down. not like it took up much space. i think the front page will be a-changin soon..!
also, and it may just be that i am looking for it and forgot what it was actually like, but didn't the search box at the bottom next to the "Visit an apple retail store" popup usually have rounded corners?
