Jimmi boy....
Common = conforming to the usual standard. 360 crashing problems aren't common, Wii nunchuck problems aren't common. Hell - PSP dead pixels aren't common. Windows viruses are common :D
Zane - try Wii Sports boxing. Chances are as soon as the nunchuck is disconnected it will pause the game, and due to the nature of the game you'll be able to see if it's a faulty port or just COD3?

Srolling lag?
Weird responses with mouse wheels. i'm not sure if lag is exactly the right word, but the movement is odd.

If you do get the job, you do know you'll not be able to logon to any Mac Rumor or Apple "Fanboy" site right? That's Apple policy.
You can't logon, but can you still browse?

As it turns out, I'm pleased that my count dropped. You only get to be a 65832 for 5 posts, and I missed noticing when it happened to me. Now I get to relive history and have a second chance to notice as the big event goes by! (Hey, what can I say? I thrill easily.)

Thanks for the info Arn, I like the knowledge that they can still work this processor more.
I think it has a good lifetime in the consumer machines but I hope they have something new for the PowerMacs so that DDR runs better.

i wonder if i know what they will teach me there or wil it help? Also my local Apple store does not really have anywere to take kids.. its a smaller store:(
you mean the one at the Promenade(sp?) maybe they'll just do it at the Genius Bar or something.
and i doubt it'll help you in anyway. It seems pretty basic.
My parents need it more than me:D
So do mine:rolleyes:

MWSF 2004 earliest. If you think any earlier, you're not being realistic. Apple is a CUSTOMER of IBM. They will get them in mass quantities when IBM says so.

I know what I'd prefer: the inheritance. We all had things as kids we weren't allowed to do while 'everyone else' could. Big deal. A bit of character-building wouldn't hurt.

The interesting thing here is that this hack doesn't violate the DMCA. It violates the iTunes shrink-wrap license, but that's only enforceable in VA and MD.
The DMCA doesn't allow breaking encryption. So saving a data stream that is sent unencrypted from a legal distributor doesn't violate this law.
Apple's "fix" for this is fairly simple. Send the files in an ecrypted form. In order to maximize caching, use a common key that all iTunes clients have built-in, sort of like DVDs and CES. The client can then decrypt with the common key and re-encrypt with the DRM key.
This doesn't make it any more difficult for a creating programmer to capture the stream and remove the common encryption without applying DRM, but it does mean that he has to decrypt something in the process. Which makes it into a DMCA violation.
Of course, a new iTunes update will be required to make this happen, but this wouldn't be the first time Apple made a change to ITMS requiring an iTunes upgrade.

When you copy something, you're not taking it. The original is still there.
Ooooooohhh... so I'm all turned around on this whole P2P thing.

anyone stil use quark?
I work at a huge catalog company who recently finished their conversion to InDesign... Quark still making enough money to survive?
Youll be surprised of the number of graphic pros out there that refuses to try a new tool because theyre so comfortable with their current. What I dont get is that they dont even seem tempted by that copy of InDesign that "comes for free" when they upgrade Photoshop to the CS package.
I guess its not only down to the Mac operator but also the administration of their company. Why alter a winning solution? A bit like Windows users unwilling to give the Mac a go, I suppose :(
Also, although I use InDesign 90% of the time when doing layouts I still need Xpress for those odd jobs that for different reasons require so. Whenever I find myself working in Xpress I realise how superiour a tool InDesign has become. So I agree with zwida that Quark really need to get their act together. Still, I dont care anymore
