What makes you think that Apple wants to get into the cell phone business? Cell phones are quickly becoming a commodity device and that's exactly where Apple doesn't want to be.
And the set-up that you're suggesting seems like Apple gets all of the benefits and Motorola gets Apple's name. Doesn't seem like such a good deal for Moto.
Realisitcally, Apple won't be doing any kind of cell phone unless they can put in features that distinguish it from what anyone else is doing. What these features are, who knows. But I do know that the days of people buying $500 cell phones are coming to a close.

The only thing weird about your poll is that choice 1 & 2 are pretty much the same so why 3 choices when 2 would have sufficed.
Ya, I'd wait for 10.5, then buy the new Mac. And after that save up for you console(which I'd say not the PS3, but I'm sure you've looked at the other system, or have the both)

For the purposes of taking a picture, they could have paused the tiBook and the DVD player underneath the TV at the same place in the DVD movie

Apply the latest Combo Updater to the store. Not only will the elevator return to proper functioning, but Safari will seem snappier. :)

Nothing of any significance I'd guess.
Maybe the G4 lineup will look something like this if we're lucky :
Entry level :
Dual 1Ghz G4, 1Mb L3
167Mhz FSB
GeForce4MX (64mb version)
DVD-R/CDRW
80Gb 7200rpm HD, 2Mb cache
256Mb
Mid Range :
Dual 1.25Ghz G4, 2Mb L3
167Mhz FSB
Radeon 9000
DVD-R/CDRW
100Gb 7200rpm HD, 8Mb cache
256Mb
high end :
Dual 1.5Ghz G4, 2Mb L3
167Mhz FSB
Radeon 9000
DVD-R/CDRW
120Gb 7200rpm HD, 8Mb cache
512Mb
The reason I think they'll use the same motherboard for all systems is to cut down on cost. The current Pioneer superdrive would be used in the entry level and mid range models to keep costs down, It's at least 50% cheaper now that it was even 4 months ago. I think they'll use the faster version in the highend and play on the standard capabilities of the minitowers.
Of course there should be no increase in the price of the range compared to the current 867Mhz, 1Ghz and 1.25Ghz models at all.
It would also make the entry level model a good performer, the mid range an excellent performer and the high end an option for people at least.
I wouldn't bank on anything more than a 250Mhz increase myself, I certainly wouldn't bank on there being any point in buying a high end 1.5Ghz model either if there's still 1.25Ghz models from the current range going for a song at the time.

the best would be the native windows client if you have windows installed
then you can run at native speed, or leave it on overnight if u dont want to use windows. i bet the dual xeon would be like having a bunch of normal p4s

I don't think anyone actually thought TiBooks/iBooks would be updated at Paris...
the only hints have been low powerbook supply reports (which are nonspecific), and a competely BS report about dual G5's via reader email at MacBidouille.

Bill Gates is happy to finally provide the only choice in a consumer operating system, it's either Wintel...or your typewriter.
(I am being sarcastic if you have not figured it out yet)
If this happens someday, i will go back to a pencil and a notebook, no more computers for me:mad:

Final Fantasy VI had me feeling for the characters more than any other RPG I've ever played; it really brought a depth to the game that was lacking throughout the entire genre.

If your referring to the Programs used for extensions then it uses the same Apps that you set for the whole systemHe's talking about extensions as in browser "plug-ins" if you like. There are hundreds of great plug-ins for firfox that add all kinds of functionality, it's great!

A 7xxx chip labeled as G5 would be a tragic mistake. And what constitutes a "true G5"? 64-bit? HyperTransport? What?
The truth is, the G5 is whatever Apple (or Moto) calls it.
BTW, if Apple does use a G5 from Moto, it would be a 7xxx chip. You see, Motorola's naming convention dictates that the 2nd number is the "G" number. Therefore, a G5 would be 75xx. Take a look at the roadmap.

you got the link, I'd like to read more. Regardless of what happens with the Wintel world, Apple needs to do something about getting faster processors, period.

You say it has hypertreading, therefore it can only use about 50% of its processor power when you only use one instance of folding. Check the threads on how to install the second F@H app and that will use the second 50% fo your cpu. You could have done twice then waht you have done now.
No. HT allows the system to think it has two CPUs. Depending on the application, you can either gain a little performance or even lose some with two instances of a program. When you have two instances of folding at once they are running at slightly faster than half the speed of the CPU (thats where the HT bonus comes in), so you will take almost twice as long to get twice as many points.
You probably only lost out on <100 points for not doing that over the past month.

What's up with this guy? Did Apple ruin his life or something?
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/columnist/andrewkantor/2006-04-13-boot-camp_x.htm
But the notion put forward by some Mac folks that Boot Camp will improve the Mac's position in the business and gaming marketplace is backward. Instead, it's more likely to convince Mac users to switch to Windows once they've used it long enough to be deprogrammed.
Seems like he is the one who needs to be deprogrammed.
