I'm calling early October around the same time they revved last year. If they aren't revved by late december, we may as well expect an entirely new iBook or iBook replacement product line. I doubt that tho. The IceBook is one of the most successful Apple products ever, and is one of the main switch products.

i no rite its perfect, me being 15 it is where all my friends hang out, and i would get to share my mac knowledge with manypeople and gget paid good!
You MUST be 18 to join Apple. Trust me. I tried last year, and got placed into the Regional Recruiters folder and told to call back when I'm 18 (next year) for a position as a Mac Genius.
When I described all of my talents, the guy was blown away. :D

Golf baby. Put a sensor on my Nike clubs, or Pings, etc, and have the nano record my swing, the angle, and help me improve my golf game. Now that is a good way to help the rest of us lazy people out who only run when the golf cart is rolling down the hill.
I want that. My golf game can use all the help it can get. :D

Just wait until this person signs into xbox live, have someone else watch your laptop and the signal, than you and another friend look around the neibourhood. Look for someone playing an xbox 360, look in the window and if you can tell its yours bang on the door and demand for it back nothing illegal about that. Make sure someone else is with you, but be careful I think you're in the States and Americans do like their guns.
I lived in a neigbourhood once, where the other kids used to steal anything that wasn't nailed down, they would take my things (my bike, my toys, etc.) I would walk arounds looking for what ever it was and take it right back and I either told their parents or beat them up.

Well, there's MyBB, SMF, and YaBB. Google all of them. I would suggest MyBB though as being the best after phpBB. :)

Ignore my previous post. I finally got around to reading the spec more closely.
This format appears to be very different from all other image file formats (even lossless ones). If I read the spec correctly, it stores a camera's red/green/blue sub-pixels separately and does not combine them into whole pixels (which JPG, PNG, TIFF and most other formats use). So the data more accurately reflects the layout of a camera's CCD element.
I still think they could get this feature via an extension to PNG or TIFF without needing to create a whole new format. They probably decided that it's easier to just release something and say "my way or the highway" than to submit drafts to a standards body to add a feature to an existing spec.
The RAW format is exactly what you said - a means to capture exactly what the camera saw, as opposed to a compressed or interpreted version of the image. Hence why it's called "RAW".
As for making an extension to PNG or TIFF - don't know why that would be any better - I don't know that those formats adequately address the needs handled by the RAW format.
They really haven't said "my way or the highway" - since camera manufacturers have the option not to participate, but I commend them for at least trying to address the problem with some sort of proposal. Sure, it's governed by Adobe for now, but the fact that they have made it open means that anyone can write to it, and they can't go and change it haphazardly, especially once camera manufacturers get on the program.
Sure, I'm not into being tied into one company for "standards," but I think Adobe does a fairly good job of keeping users' needs in mind and working well with industry standards groups.

You might well be right, but good luck trying to explain anything novel and technical to the police if it doesn't involve war-driving or hasn't been featured in the tabloids.
With the best will in the world, it may also be hard for them to accept your word for it in this matter without independent certified experts or a pre-existing writeup in their manual.
Wait 10 years, then try again, and you'll have a new generation of young coppers who all played with xbox when they were kids and will understand you perfectly.
The guy working on my case actually understands most of what I am telling him. He knows quite a bit about networking and how a wireless network works. I did have to explain to one officer that an IP address on a wireless network was not a physical location. I think she thought it was an exact location of where a device was located.
Well $1000 is grand larceny. Thats not to be taken lightly. Do you know anybody in law enforcement where you live? I would take you're logs that you have made to the police. Ask to sit down with somebody and go over all the logs. Explain it to them like its 3rd grade math.
Also check the local pawn stores, ask if they have any 360s. First place to look when you get something stolen.
I've been checking up on the local game shops and a few pawn shops in the area.
Whoever stole it is still going online with it although they have not played a game. I had the Monster HD cables for the system and they only work on an HD TV. You hook it up to an SD TV and you get no video at all. I think they keep powering up the system and trying to make it work but have no clue what they are doing.

OK... Is this normal????
I found out about folding from a sig and decided to give it a try. I downloaded Increase on my C2D MB did some adjusting based on the tips, and then got it going.
Right now the the MB is hot and the fan is fairly loud.

Is it normal to have this many cores listed in the Activity moniter????

I just read an article on cnet that Intel just did a demonstration of a 4.5 ghz P4 that they overclocked to run at 4.7 stable. This thing looks like it could smoke anything in it's path. Hope Apple is whipping up something special soon...

I don't and won't do anything for SETI. If extraterrestrial life existed God would have told us from the beginning. ;) All in all it is a waste of time and a waste of your life for an empty cause.
The same way we were told about native americans ? Definitely not the right forum for that response, nor is it very polite to criticize a fellow mac user. What he/she does with their own machine is none of our business.

Wait, so is it showing up again in your Connect360? Try and call the cops the minute is shows up.
That or,
If parents live there with the teenager(s), just ask them if their kid just got a 360 and if they would mind if you compared serial numbers to your receipt, since its showed up in range of your wireless network.
Don't blame the kid, but be like, well maybe another kid sold it to him or something.
I don't know about them, but at least my parents would have my ass up there in an instant with my 360 even if I had it for over a year lol. I don't even want to think what would have happened to me if it was yours.
Actually, third idea. Just guess which house it is. And just go there and be like, I know you stole my 360 and games, I can tell from it trying to connect to my router since the house is so close. So, I'll tell you what, I'll let all this go if you just hand it over. If he denies it, just be like, okay, well, I'm taking this (log sheet) to the cops, and I can peg the IP address to you. Are you sure you don't want to do just give it back?
And when he gives it back call the cops.
I have it narrowed down to two houses. Every time the 360 shows up on my network, I take a walk around the neighborhood and see who is home, who has a glow from a TV in their window, etc. The cops are working on background info on both houses to try and get a warrant. It seems there have been other break-ins in the area and they are hoping to catch the guy (or girl) who has been doing it. Right now, my 360 showing up on my network has been the biggest lead they have gotten because it narrows down the area by quite a bit. They don't want me to go knocking on doors because they are afraid they will either ditch all their stolen stuff if they know the cops are on to them or just lay low until it all blows over and then start again.
Its been really hard knowing that my 360 is within 500 feet of my house and having a damn good idea of who did it and not being able to do anything about it. The cops hope they will be able to do something soon but every day that goes by, I fear I will not be getting my XBox back just a little more. :(

 people bitch way too much around here. Of course Sony is gonna say its "last-gen" or it doesn't work with their SIXAXIS because they didn't wanna pay the bill. Any other company would do the exact same thing.
Nope....MS didn't, they were sued by the same company and settled for 26M, never once did they not put force feedback in there system, and they cite the reason as it being "last gen"

I think the SMP overhead is actually high enough that single-CPU machines are better at single-CPU tasks, although it's not something I worry about much (small effect).

I don't feel sorry for them what so ever. Microsoft has been asking for it, if you ask me. Its not my fault they suck.
Sweetfeld28, Pardon me...
I read your sig about your mac, I didn't know if my "computer spec" is rare but I noticed we both have: PowerMac G4 1.42 Dual Processors with 2x Apple Studio Display (do u have 17"s ... I have 17"s). :D and I already maxed out RAMs and 2 combo/superdrive. GeForce Ti 128. You? :D
Ok back to Windows... one main problem with this is...their DVD app sucks. I mean DELL DVD player sucks! *HUGE INTERFACE!!** I mean, Apple DVD player is the best one I've ever seen. My main reason I like is because it support 2 different "subtitles": DVD Subtitle and TV Caption. They're the best! Hooray for Apple! :)

This is just going to hurt Apple in the eyes of the music industry.
The argument that, "It's gonna happen anyway, so they shouldn't complain" is rhetorical nonsense-- this is the RIAA we're talking about, people.
