Ok I think I got everything up and running without much of a problem. Any advice on how to get the best results? (I'm doing the folding@home one.)
Also... I'm doing this on my Powerbook, which I take to class sometimes and will probably want to stop folding then to save battery life. Do I just quit terminal? Will it lose the work its done up to that point if it hasn't finished a work unit?
Also, is there some kind of progress monitor or anything in the console version? In the graphical version? Any other things i should know?

Hey, I'm not going to argue with your opinion... if you don't like it, don't keep playing it.
I do know several people with completely different opposite opinions, however.
Personally, I loved SMRPG and Paper Mario (N64), but haven't played the newer GameCube game.
I'm just pissed that I bought it. I did so solely because I read an article about the upcoming Wii version and thought it looked cool/sounded fun. I figured the GC one must be ok, too.

This was the first Castlevania game I played after the NES days and was the only one I finished. This game is great. I'm jealous. :)

I love almost everything about Adium. It's a great client with great features. However, I cannot seem to direct connect with it. Because of that, I unfortunately have to use the default AIM client.
Has anyone managed to get it to work?

I agree, that buzz we all get is just missing. All the product releases have been "safe" and just there. Then again its still mid-year and apple may release the iPhone and a re-designed MacPro as well as a true Video iPod. Heres hoping.

I am guessing that since there is no update yet, there will be none today :-(
Very dissappointed:(
I guess I will have to look at the current "old" displays, as I need to get one.

Hopefully more progress is in the works. If only everyone on MR would sign up for folding@home under our team #. :)
That's quite a fantasy you're having there. "Bartender, I'll have whatever he's having." :)

That was the date I joined over 3 years ago now. An interesting point is that my 3 years is marked by the same day that Steve will keynote at MWSF, kinda eerie.
Whats a little sad is that there are only 15 people with join dates before me that are still active posters.
Cheers and were all looking forward to 5 years at Macrumors:)

I agree...
I would love to see an APG slot to upgrade the vid card. This may go against the whole point of the iMac line though.
With a 19" screen I suspect it would have to have a larger base which could translate to more expandability. I think that it would also make it more marketable to potential switchers who expect to be able to upgrade their computers.
Here's to hoping...

For those of you that rip CDs into iTunes, this thing's a godsend. I, however, do not fall into that category...still, though - it sounds good enough to at least be worth a try.

Something I was pondering myself eight months or so ago. Some Windows freak was reminding me about "mac only has 5%", etc.. Well, thinking mathmaticly as a do, I told him: That's 1 in 20. That's actually a lot. And then I began thinking... if supposivly 1 out of 20 computers use Mac OS (I was always actually very skeptical of this... I was sure it was more), and Apple is the only company that makes computers that run Mac OS, then they aren't doing bad at all. Then I thought about the practicly infinate amount of PC manufacturers. I thought for sure Apple was in the top 5 or so. Then I came accross this (http://www.spymac.com/comments.php?id=215_0_5_0_C) . Something to prove my point. This person spent a very long time, gathering info from many, many places and putting it together to get this result:
The percentages of installed personal computers around the world, by manufacturer:
11.6% Apple
10.4% Compaq
9.8% Dell
9.1% IBM
7.3% Hewlett-Packard
5.1% Sony
3.4% Toshiba
3.1% NEC
3.0% Packard-Bell
2.1% eMachines
1.7% Microstar
1.3% Fujitsu
32.1% Others (each less than 1%)
Wow. I was right. To all my "windowz" friends: Stick that in yer pipe and smoke it!

Don't forget to factor in that the PowerMac's power supply is essentially a power brick for the ADC monitors - so you need to factor in a some for that. The XServe doesn't perform this function it's VGA/DVI.
But the math doesn't hold in any case the power supply on my G4/400 AGP w ADC has 8A stamped on the back and 10A stamped inside, and it definitely isn't rated too extremely high in continuos watts output.
Anyways the people who have looked inside the machines say they're stamped 400 watts.
