There's that guy that's so dang bad at making video game adaptions...what's his name? I was so pissed when I heard HE was doing the Castlevania movie. Thankfully it went on hold for another year waiting for snow...
Some games COULD make great video games...like the FIRST Resident Evil...that was spooky and cool...creepy house, zombies, great. Why they chose what they did...?
GeOW is great coop gameplay and a lame story/dialgoue...there are some actions that would be kind of fun in a movie...like the spotlight bit and the bat things (I started playing it with sound off due to the horrible dialogue and don't know proper names) could make interesting action scenes... but I'd be banking on horrible with the past successes...but maybe someone will pull a Spider Man /Blade and revive the genre.

Can some1 run this from within VPC. I believe that VPC is supposed to emulate the 486, so I am interested in finding out if they process is handled different, even though its a G4. Sure it will not be fast (emulatin) but i would be interested in seeing the results.
EDIT: ddtlm, are you interested in helping me with X86 assembly? I would be willing to pay for your time. Email me at jamesk777@mac.com or IM me at ryme4reson (AOL) Thanks

You always take a chance waiting for the newer version. I say unless you actually have a release date for something, don't wait. Just look at the PSP, it's been over a year now people have been saying to not buy it and wait because a remodeled design is coming out to compete with the DS Lite.
And that isn't happening anytime soon... or is it? ;) :D

I know the new Powermac must be a great system to own, but I do think the hardware upgrades recently are just too incremental, and I think the 1.25ghz Dual G4 is just a sort term solution to a much larger issue. Apple really needs to upgrade everything in a big way. They shouldn't even be selling stuff with G3 processors anymore, and their low end G4's should be selling for a lot less. I am sure your system will look good, but still, the overall look of the line is definitely a step backwards from the Quicksilver case. I just hope whatever they come up with next is completely different, sleek, and has a 2ghz G5 processor in it:D

When my display was set to 1280x960, the animation chops up every now and then, mostly during the turning when it switches sides...
How can I take the menu for this out of the iTunes menu bar? It's already cluttered as it is and it's starting to intrude into my stuff on the right of the menu bar.

If someone released a shareware app that auto-installed OpenOffice and all necessary components, giving you replacements for Word, Excel, etc. that you otherwise wouldn't have had the time/expertise to obtain, I don't think anyone would be angry about asking a $30 shareware fee. It would be worth it to some, not to others.
They're going one further, offering it all as a single download or CD. And they're not claiming it's anything it isn't as near as I can tell.

I expect a boatload of hype and high expectations followed by the dismal feeling of being let-down and underwhelmed once again, possibly coupled with the nauseating gutknot of having a service or functionality removed from my machine or kept up for a fee.

Wright! Will be experimenting with it tomorrow. I'll copy the existing folder, change the settings; set the ID to 2 and do some other settings and trash the unit it is working on. Seems simple enough, but with windows you'll never know!

well if i assume this correctly, if you are logging onto one of aol's servers to use the aim service then this will apply regardless of the application you use. its all server side logging so you are basically screwed either way. but would this be basically a violation of your privacy?

I bought a PS3 had it for 24 hours and took it back.
did not like the controller, was actually the reason I took it back.
and the fact the graphics looked no better than my 360 and it was not any faster at loading, AND I hated the UI with a passion :)

They're offering Wii bundles (system, extra controller + nunchuck, 4 games, 1 GB branded SD card), for $534.92 plus shipping. That works out to about $25 or so for the SD card, so not a ridiculous overcharge. Plus, the game bundles (Zelda, Elebits, Rayman, Monkey Ball; or Zelda, Marvel, COD3, Trauma Center) are decent (if you're being forced into a bundle!)

How about $300 desktops and $600 laptops?
I knew this wouldn't take long, why is it that people just can't accept the fact that Apple products are worth their cost. Must be a PC thing, because every PC user I know throws that in my face. They think everything should be little or no cost, face it, Apple is a quality machine not some POS box made up of cheapest bidder parts.
On the original poster's thought....NO. They shouldn't expand into products that don't integrate well with the Mac.

FireFox is too buggy for me, but Safari has it problems. My main grip with FF is that new windows are opened larger than the current window. This is a small thing, but It drives me insane, actually it drove me back to Safari.
With Safari, scrolling is a problem. But the main gripe i have with safari is that a right click doesn't give u the option to go "back", "forward", "reload". Having to move my curson all the way to the top of the browers to do these things drives me nuts. To have a browser without this function is a horrible design flaw. I wish they would fix this in the next release of Safari.

Blu-Ray is outselling HD DVD 3:1 right now
HD-DVD outsold Blu-ray for so long that it still has more titles sold overall.
We'll see what happens.
