I wouldn't be using this little method on Napster music. It would be genuinely useful for some other stuff I do, which would not invoke the anger of the RIAA (or any of its equivalents worldwide) - particularly the Output Stacker (http://marv.kordix.com/Output_Stacker.exe) Winamp plugin (warning - clicking link downloads an .exe file).

I really like the feature that keeps the games/movies from auto loading. It got pretty annoying every time I started up the system and I didn't want to use what was already in the drive.
However, I was saddened to see that the update did not include the much anticipated DVD "up-scaler". Perhaps this will be in future additions of the Fimware?
Mine never auto loaded.. if you turn off Auto-login it won't

Well, at least you got a free shirt (even if it is too large) and the joy of being one of the first individuals in that new Apple store. :)

If you check on the apple.ca 's store page, it says it's updating. I wonder... what's new?
The US store is now down too! New products on a Monday!? Hmm..I guess they could just be updating the store's backend with nothing new coming.

At this point, any asshat who posts "Powerbook G5 Next Tuesday!!!111one!!" should be banned for a week.

There's an easy way to tell which one's from AMD and which one's from IBM...
The IBM guy will be at least 6 ft 5in tall and built like arnie.
The AMD guy will be wearing 3D specs and a T Shirt with "when ?" written on the front and back.
IBM = Big Blue
AMD = 3D Now! (I was clutching at straws for that one)

What if Intel just quit. They said they were done making chips. Would the world end?
OR, what if they drastically cut production so that prices on the rare chips skyrocketed? Could they get in trouble with the government like Microsoft does? Interesting concept...
OR What if they just his pause for a year.

Just what kind of work requires 2 Formac 2010's? That would be a friggin' WALL of LCD feedback!
I suppose digital video editors could use the space, as well as audio engineers working with tons of tracks and plug-ins. But SHEESH!! That's a LOT of real estate! For HD editing an ideal set-up might be one Apple 23" and one of these Formacs--the Formac for editing and the 23" for full-screen proper aspect ratio playback. WHOA...!

I just joined MacRumor's seti@home team.
I had communication problems when I tried to connect to folding@home,
but when I have a few minutes, I'll give it another try.
When it works, the Verizon NationalAccess cardbus card is great!
Original core duo mac mini, powerbook g4 (1.67Ghz). Someday I'll load the boinc client on my dual core G5, emac G4, and G4 mini. But not today.

i'd like to try it out some more but have a few questions.
1. can you import from mail.app and back to mail.app?
2. can you get hotmail via a script or something like you can with mail.app?
Apparently, you can't import directly from mail.app. It will allow import from .txt, .csv, and tab-separated files, as well as LDIF files. There does not appear to be an export.
However, if you're concerned about whether you'll like it or not. Run the two in parallel for a few days, having the messages deleted from the server after a few days, so they both pick up the same e-mail.

I think they removed it, but according to Andrew Welch (president of Ambrosia Software), "Everything that was free in the older, free WireTap continues to be free in WireTap Pro. You can use it to your heart's content to record AIFF recordings, and never pay for it." If you use other features, an unregistered message is dubbed over your recordings until you register.
Ah. I missed that. Thanks.

True for many of us. For applications that use a lot of math functions, it makes a big difference. So, for others it does matter. They may be in the minority, but a very important group of users. In less than a year the picture will change, and that small group will be very pleased with the Mac. For now, there is nothing anyone can do about it.
