I think this could actually mean expansion into the in-car Mac niche. If they have a suitable frontend for a "Media Centre" (nodd to our euro brothers ;) ) they could use the same techniques for an in-car computer.
I know with the widget intergration you could have a rather custom and sweet looking iTunes interface for your car.
Anyone know if voice commands work with iTunes?

They would be less likely than Roxio... I mean Napster. Though it did seem to be their only profitable thing right now, this still seems strange to me.

Uhm why is the program Windows only then???
Wow people are ignorant. It is clearly not Windows only. I can compile it on my mac if I want to. You must not have any idea what you are talking about.

Ok. Ok. The damn thing is a fake. How do I know, because an apple rep from the apple store came in the night of the Jaguar release and informed me that four former apple designers came up with the hoax. They built a plastic rendition using a computer and a laser cutter. They then superimposed the newton OS onto the face of the device. The person writing was writing on a the screen, but it was the newton doing all the work. The reason why it looks a little different is they just adjusted the colors and some of the icons to meet a more "OSX" look. Man..that sucks. I know... I know...I should have known, but damn.
Peace.
Peace.

2k7 definitely.
I tried to stick it out with NBA Live until last year (and would randomly buy the 2k games as well).....but I've come to the conclusion that since 2k1 on the Dreamcast the 2k series is a lot better than the Live series. This was the first year I didn't buy NBA Live. I love 2k7....though I haven't played it much lately d/t GoW, WoW, and getting a Wii in late January.

What I find interesting is how Arn comes so much later, considering he basically started the site.
I think his handle is relatively new, though he has been present from the Beginning (capitalization for special effect).

Aesthetically, the 12" is a hands-down winner. I've mentioned this more than once, but I'll say it again...the layout of the 12" looks cleaner than the 14." The 14" looks like a 12" in daddy's big shoes. It doesn't fit. Also, when I was in the market for a portable, I man-handled each one and found the 14" screen looks and feels to large for the hinge. The screen wobbles and shakes too much at the slightest movement. Over time, that constant movement of the screen is hard on the eyes.
I ordered the 14" iBook the end of July and I have none of these problems mentioned. As for the layout, I looked at both the 12" and 14" side by side and didn't see any significant difference...I prefered the larger screen right off the bat. To me, the size difference is not a big deal....it is well worth the larger size for the larger screen. And it's not like the 14" iBook is monstrous by any means...it's still a very sleek laptop IMHO. I think alot of people are just used to the 12" model as it's been around for a while. I've traveled with my 14" plenty and don't find it cumbersome at all.

It will probably only launch in the states at first, especially with IPTV laucnhing in summer, as there is nothing like the video content on Euro servers and IPTV is late 2007/2008 pencil date - I wouldnt be surprised if they hold back the elite pack for europe till the xmas holidays.

I noticed that this morning too. :(
I just added like a 64 bit AMD 3.2 Ghz processor, so that should help. Unfortunately, I loose about 4 hours per WU due to uploading and dowloading...

In short, if you're looking to make a living squatting on e-mail addresses, you'll be a very poor man.
Too true. No one pays for email addresses. Hardly anyone pays for domains anymore. Those times are gone.

they can just make a filemaker lite, just as they did in iLife when they made garage band from Logic technology. Most logical would be to put a front end onto SQLite and core data, as it is already in Tiger. Add a few templates for common home and small business tasks, and auto import or make it easy to retrieve data already stored in core data, such as iTunes song information or iPhoto images etc. It wouldn't have high end features, as they sell Filemaker for this, so SQLite should be enough and have good performance. I'd expect both iLife '06 and iWork '06 to be more tightly integrated with Tiger and probably require it.
