Can I sell advertising space in my signature?

Oh do pay attention 007. In the wrong hands, this Dual 2.0GHz Power Mac G5 could be very dangerous.
Subscribe now to TV Guide Magazine! 52 issues for just $19.76! That's only 38 cents an issue, a full 85% off the cover price! Operators are standing by!
I think that might pass into the realm of insanity, the last thing we need is huge sigs with huge commercials, although this may revolutionize the advertising industry;)

Power consumption in today's consoles.
Idle/Standby - Page 4 (http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/review-356-4.htm)
Page 2-3 shows consumption during gameplay and DVD playback.
Page 1 explains the testing method they used.
I got to admit, I'm a little disapointed by Connect24. I was led to expect that a lot more fun content would be automatically downloaded in standby mode. Oh well, life goes on.

Once this intel beta finishes (I'm using it now but its only command line right now), we need to get Macrumors.com to have a front page article saying they finally completed a SMP mac version and that our team needs help again, because we have lost several people and I'm sure there are thousands of front page viewers that have never heard of folding before.

I went in to check out the product (http://homepage.mac.com/markburgess3/browserTunes/docs.htm), and it actually looks alright. Sure it is early in development, but I think this is a good way for web apps to go.
Step one, build home network
Step two, write neat apps for controlling said home network
Step three, face competition from M$
Step four ...?
Step five, make tons of money.

Ok, all of the people that are pissed at Apple's method and speed of delivery.
With new models and CPU speed. I would think that it is evident by now that Apple is having a very serious problem with either...
A: CPU manufacturers
B: Building OSX to work at a decent speed with the current crop of cpu's
C: Still manage to maintain profits with large margins and inflated prices
I din't think that Apple wants to do all these things that irritate and frustrate consumers, its just that they have done SO many stupid things in the past that its hard to straighten out all the mistakes and gets things moving right.
So, prepare yourself for more frustration and bewildering events as Apple continues to catapult themselves into oblivion!

Apple's version will probably be more "glam" than that, with a white color schema, built-in bluetooth, the same wonderful battery as in the iPod, and direct-brain-to-software interface.

2k7 definitely.
I tried to stick it out with NBA Live until last year (and would randomly buy the 2k games as well).....but I've come to the conclusion that since 2k1 on the Dreamcast the 2k series is a lot better than the Live series. This was the first year I didn't buy NBA Live. I love 2k7....though I haven't played it much lately d/t GoW, WoW, and getting a Wii in late January.

Yes you can play WoW in little increatments. But be aware... you'll get sucked into the Void quickly!
There was a time when I was in college when games (specifically online games) occupied much more of my time that I would like to admit. Classes and studying often took a backseat to a leveling session or a dungeon raid. I did telephone tech support for the university so I had plenty of time to play even at work. It was hard to cut ties but when I finally did, it was embarrising to look back at all the wasted time.
This is the main reason World of Warcraft has been sitting in my desk drawer for more than a year. I didn't want to repeat the above scenario. I don't think this will be a problem for me these days. Instead of classes, I have a wife. Instead of studying, I have 3 kids. Instead of working to have money for road trips and fast food, I am working for a a mortgage and retirement. Now, I still enjoy playing games but I just don't have the time or the desire to devote much time to them.
By the way, I created my first character Thursday and it was a Dwarf Paladin. It was ok but not quite what i was looking for (I only took it up to level 5) so I created a Night Elf Druid instead. I am now up to level 14 and having a great time.

DO NOT install this bad boy if you still have work to get done for the day. Install it before you go to bed. It may sound odd, but Tiger runs slowly for the first eight hours of uptime or so because Spotlight is indexing the hard drive. And in addition to that, users need to try and not run any apps while spotlight is indexing because it puts undue stress on the hard drives. After spotlight indexes tho, WHEW! Flaming. Everything I do is just that much faster, and H.264 is the absolute bomb. Less than 2 megs per second for way better than DVD quality video. Anyway, the 29th is coming.

Yeah, I'm really hoping that's a joke. I can't imagine a government office giving someone a title like that.

Entire product line:
Dual display support (non-mirror) even on iBooks
I think this is VERY likely </sarcasm>[/B][/QUOTE]
Audio: Dolby Digital 5.1, SPDIF, Analog, better spkrs
VERY unlikely but would be VERY nice.
- PowerMacs -
2 FireWire ports & 6 USB ports
What is it with people and USB ports.... REALLY, what are you going to do with 6? I remember the days when you had 1 printer, 1 modem and 1 SCSI port and that was plenty.
Dual ATA133 Raid
Another likely option </sarcasm>
- iBooks -
2 FireWire ports & 4 USB ports
ATA100
4x AGP
What do you need ATA 100 for in an iBook?????? They only have one hard drive and it runs at 4200RPM.
Entry:
800MHz G3, 512MB L2, 100MHz FSB
256MB DDR 1600 (200MHz) RAM
30GB fluid bearing ATA/5 HD
Combo drive (DVD/CDRW)
ATI Mobility Radeon Graphics w/16MB VRAM
56k v.92 modem
12.1" LCD
8 hours battery life
$899.00

900MHz G3, 1MB L2, 133MHz FSB
512MB DDR 2100 (266MHz) RAM
40GB fluid bearing ATA/5 HD

ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 w/32MB DDR

I think you are a little generous with the battery life there and a 133 bus in an iBook... come on... DDR for that matter, too.

my friend has a very nice PC with a
GF4MX w/ 64VRAM and it plays all the games you could think of like a dream, the nVidia cards are better in my opinion.
Wait for the nForce cards to come out anyways.
And in UT2k3, it's meant to be played with an nvidia card. Even says so every time you play it.

sounds like you already got it, but a seperate folder for each client (fah1, fah2) and run the executable from a command window (c:\fah1 OR fah2\fah504.exe -local -config) to set it up. make the second client machine number 2 in the advanced options.
if it can run all the time, set it to start as a service when windows starts to make life easy. when the computer is on, it's folding. you can right click on my computer > manage > services > services on the right windows > scroll down to find 'fah...' and right click to start/stop as needed.
it will still crash on occasion as both cores get assigned the same number work unit (project number, not same unit). one unit's log will say something about 'already see this running, will not check again upon restart' so you just have to restart the client that shut down and away it goes again until next time.
any troubles, post a message!

G4/G5 optimized firefox builds are faster...
After Firefox 1.1 goes full cocoa, nobody is going to want Camino.
http://homepage.mac.com/krmathis/
Where did you see that 1.1 would be full Cocoa? The 1.1 release slated for 3/2005 (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/roadmap.html) should reflect a more HIG-compliant interface, but it's still going to be a XUL app. At best, one day they make use Quartz instead of QuickDraw
They're closely related browsers serving different needs. I like my FoxyTunes, AdBlock, Web Developer Toolbar and PR Googlebar, but I also like spell checking in forms, true Aqua widgets, and apps that look like they were written for the Mac.

Hi
At the moment I have a wireless connection in the house where my flatmates share a connection. I was wondering if i could add another router to this so that I could pick up the internet from the other hub i.e. bridge the network and have wireless printing.
Is that possible? What router would you recommend? Apples (I know this has usb built in doesn't it?)
is there one cheaper? and better?
Thanks

While I see your point, am I correct in saying we don't actually know any final details about this 'Elite' system?
Also, I'm going off Europe here, and the PS3 is £425 orrrrr $837 at the current rate.

Well i think the rarest would be my_first_name@my_surname.co.uk...
& I got that :D
I also share my surname with a well know british pop star so i get a lot of mail for her_first_name@my_surname.co.uk, & she needs a lot of Viagra apparently.
:eek:I had exactly that problem a few years back, when my legal name was Posh Spice. Luckily, I went to court and had my name changed.
