Check Out Laser Star for $99.99

Laser Star Review

This was just what I was looking for. I wanted something like this for my 18 year-old daughter's room. I ordered a couple of different projectors to compare which one I liked best and this one won by far! When I first turned it on in a dark room, I went Wow! and then grabbed my husband to see if he felt the same. He did. I liked it so much I bought another one for my 12 year-old daughter. Now it's the first thing they show their friends.

Laser Star Feature

  • Moving Sky-Show Extraordinaire This staggeringly vivid night-sky projector features green, laser-beamed moving stars and cloud cover and, according to Paul (our in-house astro-galactic display maven), "adjustable-intensity nebula.
  • If that means you can lie supine and happily stare at it for a few hours, we agree, particularly if you cue up the Dark Side of the Moon album at the same time. Or skip the Pink Floyd, and use it to lull the children to sleep.
  • Not an astronomically accurate sky, of course, but you're definitely not going to care. The unit is approx 11" tall on a 9-1/2" x 8-3/8" oval base and plugs in via a wall adapter.
  • The manufacturer suggests a maximum 4-hour duty cycle, white or light walls and a very dark room. Has mounting slots on the base.

Laser Star Overview

With this Laser Star kids can wish upon lots of stars when they transform an ordinary bedroom into their own private star-filled universe. Two built-in precision glass lenses, plus a green laser and holographic technology create thousands of stars and an amazing light show. The coolest most amazing light shows you will see anywhere. Laser Star creates thousand of stars with or without cloud formations. AC adapter is included. Simple to use, just plug it in. It includes a built-in key-hole slot for optional wall mounting and it measures 3.75" x 11" x 8.5".

Doesn't Last!!! - K. Cullip - JOPPA, MD United States
It simply doesn't last. Cheaply made. Would be okay for five or ten bucks, but no more!!!

Great....while it lasted - Samy Adams -
This product was pretty sweet for the short time it worked. After about several hours of use, the motor that rotates the "stars" started making a really loud hum as if it was struggling to keep moving. The lights still work no problem, but unfortunately the whole motion effect is gone. I bought mine from spencers, and I dont know what their return policy.

All in all, this is a neat little toy thats some cool effects to your dorm room, or even a larger room. However the exterior casing seems like its poor quality, and the motor also seems to be pretty cheap.

Not worth a 0

Laser Review - Galina O. Hall -
I just received my 3rd laser. Past 2 failed after 1 to 2 month of use . And this is using it about 4 times a week for about 5 hrs. My strong advise..... find something else. Laser Stars..9 down the drain 2 times now.

Very Cool - D. Blei - Chicago, IL
A friend showed me one of these and it was very cool. I purchased one a few months ago and it still works great. It impresses everyone that comes over. This is probably the best star machine out there for the price. I thought there were supposed to be shooting stars but they dont show up. You can kind of see the pattern of the stars but it is still fun to look at. Would recommend.

Does the job - Tom O. -
It does what it claims. Can't vouch for the included paint, as I used a more expensive glow-in-the-dark paint. Light beams from device onto ceiling are very faint and difficult to see when painting.

not so easy! - jasblue - iowa
I bought this item to add a little something to my son's bedroom. The paint looks cool when it is dark, it does look like stars in the sky, however, the glow does not last long and you have to continually turn on the lights to recharge. When painting, the projection light does not stay strong and burnt out rather quickly. You have to move fast, in a dark room trying to touch little corresponding cylinders to the correct projection on to the 8ft ceiling (kills your neck) before the light and the paint stop glowing. When light is on,the spots are not real noticible, you really have to look for them, which is good. I did this on a dark ceiling (navy) and I still need to do more, but since the light burnt out I am just randomly placing the dots, it still looks cool and my 10yr son is pleased. so in the end that is all that matters!
