Glad you are having fun. Many would argue that the it is the music industry that is doing the pillaging and it is the consumers pockets that are being raided. Legal and right are not always the same things. How come there is no competition in song pricing anyway?
HAHAHA. LMAO. Wow. Where to start?
This logic is faulty on so many levels. Because enough people break the laws in place, it should become legal? If raiding and pillaging started affecting your hometown, would you try to stop it, or simply give in and join in? Would you, as a legislator in your small town vote to make pillaging legal simply because so many people do it? I should hope not. Pillaging is taking away the rights of your citizens, the same as music piracy. People are taking advantage of the music without accepting the terms it comes with, thus taking wrongful advantage of the artists. DRM simply helps to maintain the license that you are purchasing to listen to their music.

How long have we been waiting for this blasted G5, or whatever the hell it is.
I feel like by the time we get it I won't even care. I might even laugh. It's just such a joke now.
talk about a nightmare. sheesh.

I agree, actually - I wan't convinced by the website, and I'm still not 100% sure of the type, but the advert was good. The computers looked cool, the people looked nice, it all looked tempting. It wasn't slagging anyone else off, it wasn't being superior, it just made them look good. It would make you subconciously associate HP computers with being nicely designed, simple computers used by creative and friendly people. Now, who does that remind you of?!

So how will they work.. wil you buy it and then you will have to connect to the internet and Adobe will check your system and the you will enter a code
If it's anything like Quark's activation, once online you select 'Activate Product' from a menu and it takes about 10-20 seconds to connect and fetch a code from Quark... you never see the code.
However, those Macs not connected to the web need to be telephone activated and this does involve the use of codes, but as I've never had to do this myself I can't shed any more light on it.
Here's the info from the horse's mouth.

Well, lets see, when I get home today I'll check to see if it will let me pay my bills on Wachovia Bill Pay. NOT!! It only works with IE according to them, and they have no intentions of fixing it.
At least I was notified yesterday that Bill Pay will now be free instead of $5.95.
Oh well, its not Firefox's fault, it is stupid IE and Wachovia's fault.

$99 is pretty steep for basically remembering your bookmarks and desktop photo. Everything else you, such as documents, email etc you can just store as files on your ipod.
Us mac users can even go one step better, with CarbonCopyCloner we can take our whole computer with us - as long as your iPod is big enough that is! And all for free!
It would be nice to have an easy backup option, like idisk on pod I guess. Don't think it would be a big deal for me but it would be nice.

i look at that and say... Now that guy is a Billionaire.
Then i get kinda depressed. lol
He wasn't doing too badly at the time, either. The Apple II had a huge marketshare at the time, and both Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were already very wealthy.

speaking of which, what happened last week? There was some strange HUGE production jump for one day. it looks to me like a lot of our "big" users put in 10x their normal number of points in one day, and then dropped back down to normal. Is that a glitch or something?

I saw these in the Chanel store in Barcelona. The only difference was that they were just white with the Chanel logo instead of silver.
I looked at them for a while and decided that they can't be iMacs though. The proportionals were all wrong. Must just be a shell.

wasn't adobe getting sued by the owners of "jpeg" or something?! yes it's a good idea anyway, but sounds to me like they are trying to get away from dealing with "jpeg" issues.
Other way round... the jpeg group tried to sue Adobe.

I don't belive it does, at least not yet
