I would try calling XBL support and asking for their supervisor, and that person's supervisor, & so on. Explain to them, (stay firm on your point) the reason you need it and what you can do with it. If you need to, I would mention you are in the process of obtaining a warrant for the IP. As you already know, them not knowing the IP is complete and utter BS.

Since I've been using Panther (about a week after it was released) Mail has crashed regularly (usually 1 out of 4 times I've used it). It occurs when quit the app and it just hangs...forever, until I force quit the process.
On the pre-Mac OS X versions of Mail (and MailViewer) all optimization was done manually. But now it is done in the background while Mail is running. If it is hanging when you go to quit, there is a very good chance it is in the middle of doing house keeping and needs a little time to finish. If you force quit while it is doing this you run the risk of damaging the mailboxes that are being optimized which could lead to further crashes and instability of Mail.
I had one client who was, well, impatient with Mail. He wanted it done when he was done with it and force quit Mail when it wouldn't quit when he wanted it to. It was quite a mess recovering his mail when his mailboxes stopped being readable by Mail.
I'm not sure this is what is happening here, but it sorta sound similar.

Does it constantly use your internet connection to download?
If I use my old imac (800Mhz G4, will it be of any use)?
Yes the 800mhz machine will help. It uses the internet to download and upload Work units when done one. It is very small amount of data normally under 2mb and it does not use the internet all the time it only uses it after every WU which can last anywhere from a couple hours to a couple days.

I think they are trying to create a market in hopes that no one will notice that no one actually needs these things (much like palm did). When someone explains to me why a tablet is better than a laptop, maybe I'll reconsider.
As for use with photoshop, etc, I'm thinking its probably not a big enough screen for the pros, that the screen would get ruined very quickly by "painting" on it, and it would presumably be less powerful than a desktop, which leaves it where exactly?

there are some uncommon multipliers out there, with components/motherboards but i don't think so on the standard 133 mhz bus mac
i hope we can move way past those numbers really soon...like this coming january macworld in san francisco

Oh, by the way, the codename for the next Office for Windows was Office 12; it will, however, be officially called "Office 2007"
Office 12 sounds better, IMO, although 2007 isn't bad...
It's supposed to be the first release achieving feature parity between the Mac and Windows versions.
That will be awesome.... Now we just need Access and all of the rest of the applications at least released for OS X, whether or not they're feature-complete with the Windows version (which would be awesome). We at least need a converter application so we can use other applications (i.e. Access>FileMaker, Publisher>Indesign/Pages/Quark, etc.)
edit: typo.

The x86, why not the Itanic?
MS has been brutal to anyone that attempts to capture marketshare on their turf.
If you don't like the size of the current bloatware, imagine fatapps built to run with multiple CPUs - painfully huge.

Once again. To avoid Tinkers on G3s and G4s. Turn 5MB OFF and leave -advmethods on. G5s can handle Tinkers no problem. Keep up the fold!
We have discussed those methods before, and that doesn't help. The 5MB are for new WU's, Beta units if I'm correct. -advmethods wasn't for Tinkers (or not getting them). And G5's can handle Tinkers, G4 and G3's can too. It only takes a bit longer. I also see a big dent in my output with my G5.
