I have a friend who is going to sell his PS2 along with 5 games for $90. Is this a good deal or I should look at a PS3. Is PS3's graphics so much better than the PS2?

I really wanted to like konfabulator.
but it is S L O W.
Dashboard is 10000000x better, because it doesn't eat up my system resources.
Apple came out with a better product, and I am tired of Arlo whining.

But it also means that the G4 has an extraordinary amount of life in it. If the 7455A will clock to 1.5GHz before Apple pushes the 7470 into the PowerMac, we'll be using the G4 until the 2GHz level is reached, and more importantly, we won't have a true implementation of DDR memory for quite some time (maybe a year or more).
But, I am truely considering a dual-867 due to this news.

If cheaper is always better...
Buy a Daewoo, up to 60% discount on some models.
---
I still don't understand making the effort in keeping a reverse switchers, let them make the mistake. The joy in seeing them suffer with Windows is well worth it.
But at least they'll have the games to make them happy about their endless suffering.

Apple (and many others) will be taking a very close look at where 'broadcast' television and other video content meets the computer in the home and on the move. The video iPod is just the visible tip of this iceberg.
This is the area that will have the most legs in the medium to long-term and one where they can potentially carve out a lucrative space.
As to what form these products may take, I haven't the faintest clue. :p
The other thing where we can expect some movement is iTunes on phones and other mobile devices. Many people here (myself included) wouldn't want a phone with that functionality but recent research by Nokia shows that about 2/3rds of people do... this is the iPod's achilles heel in terms of future growth.

I was tre president of my country and I could luch a full air strike (with the 8 f16 we have left) to Cuba and destroy comunism once for all. If I had enought mental power to couse enough brain damage to George Bush to put him in a coma for about ten years.
That would be enough to warantee 10 more years of existance to this planet.

I'd say they've got the creative market sewn up (with the help of Adobe) and the only thing they might start to need to make is HDTVs for Post production...
But that's all I can think of...

Well, if a hard drive is going to fail, statistics show that it is more likely to do so in its first year. Secondly, I have had more than a few occasions where we do an RMA on an item, not just hard drives, and the replacement is faulty also.
Just as a last note, just because one person has a problem with a machine does not make the model as a whole have a problem and just because you had a problem with a Wallstreet does not mean there is a problem with the iBooks and TiBooks.

Until we see what happens with the powermac I can see no reason to expect a huge increase in speed in the imac.
How can apple release an imac higher than 1 ghz until they have at least bumped the PM line up to 1 ghz dual low end?

Would it be worth it for me to start folding with my old laptops (mostly g3s) power wise? Also I really want to get the dell IT guys to start folding with our computers at work at night/weekend. It would be hilarious for them to do it for MR! We have hundreds, if not over 1000 of core duos here.

Not sure about google pc because you can put it on MAC just like XP on mac!
Well, do you have a preview of Google OS? I'm dyin' to see what it looks like. What if it isn't OS after all, just the plugin for Windows and MAC? Like half of google OS on MAC and XP? Do you know what I'm saying? Well, something like that. lol
I know I'm not alone here, and it pains me to see Macintosh written as MAC. Please, use Mac. It'll give you more credibility around here I think.

Join me and Allotriophagy, and he will make your wildest dreams come true!!
I sure hope those dreams involve stolen alcohol and prescription medication and vintage Apple hardware...otherwise...umm...
It is interesting how amazingly good the C2D is at SETI. I mean, when was the last time you had a Mac (in the PPC days) when you kicked some computational ass?
But don't mind - I'm just walking my dog, strolling along. On crack.

I you have an aversion to outdated technology, why don't you get him to buy a MacBook? It will safe you many many hours of giving free tech support, so it's definitely worth the money ($1199 with 1 GB of RAM).
My mom has a hard enough time using WIndows the way it is. To switch OS on here would set her back YEARS. I'm getting a Macbook next year :)
PS: I shoul dhave clearified, my dad is buying the computer for my mom.
