i have a Wii and love it and i am wanting to drop 600 dollars on a PS3 more and more but am having a really hard time deciding between a new mac when Leopard hits (and hopefully new hardware)-- or a PS3.

You know, you really should post the same thing in two separate threads (although a lot of newbies are doing it recently), especially if you started the same thread in different forums! Post one thread in one forum only so you only have to post info once!
That said, I'm not even going to post on the other thread.
And crazyapplerumors is a just that, a crazy site that gives nothing but rumors.;)

Replace Napster with iTunes, and the instructions would still remain valid.
Not the same thing. If you replace Napster with iTunes, there is no 14-day free download-fest. Sure, you can burn 252 CDs from iTunes this way. But it'll cost you a lot more than nothing to get them.
Unless, of course, you're happy with half a minute of each song.

The classics you speak of are that good to you because they have a nostalgic and emotional value, I mean, I still think Vice City is the best GTA simply because it entertained me so much and I had such good moments with that game but I knowfor a fact that technically, San Andreas is a better game.
No, Vice City is better because of what they didn't include. Nowhere outside of America does adding more make something better (which is funny as the console GTA's were developed in Scotland). Bigger is not related to better. The whole Virtual Pet aspect of SA really put me off, get health by eating food, but not too much! Distracted from the main game itself. Vice City didn't have needless things like that, or a world map that was simply too big.
Unless your confusing technical achievement with better. Just take a good long look at some disasters that use modern technology, Rise of the Robots? PS3?

Backtothemac:
Um, Don't know what chart you were looking at, but with both processors being used, the 1.25 kicked the "snot" out of the PC's.
Ohhh, you mean that one test where the Mac beat an old dual Athlon by, look, 2 points? 38/40 hardly matters, especially seeing as how Athlon MP's are available at 1.8ghz rather than the 1.6ghz tested. Xeons are available at up to 2.8ghz if you want a real top of the line SMP PC. How do you suppose the dual 1.25 would do against that sort of competition?

I think the problem is the reviews, IGN reviews are generally trash.
I think you can say this about all mainstream review sites/magazines. ;)
Gamespot's are usually ok.
IGN is trash, EGM/1up is trash.
Game Informer...what I've seen so far (just started getting their magazine) seems ok.

Well, they could release a 19-inch iMac and a 19-inch Studio Display at the same time, you know. :p

It's still another good reason to keep anything from Real Networks off of your Mac.
Another reason? What are the other reasons?

it seem's like you are getting the run around from MS cause they want you to buy another 360 to make them more money. this looks bad on MS part in not doing anything in helping to track down the stolen 360. i thought that is why the unique ID was given to each system just for that case. and the fact they are using the live account, they can also be buying games with it which is like stealing your credit card.
That's a horribly selfish view of the situation. Would you really want MS to give out personally identifiable information about a customer to any Joe Crazyface that calls in?
You need to look at this from their perspective as well. I'm sure the prospect of $50 profit is pretty minor when weighed against the idea of giving personal information on a customer to some guy who just called in. Even if they wanted to, you're not going to get it from the standard customer service department, especially not after their recent "hacking".

Considering that the team was once 33 (without aggregates), it's not so bad still.
Still, the more people folding for the team the better.
I won't use my 1Ghz 12" Powerbook since its not fast and if it gets slower I'll cry, but my Uni gave me a 3.4GHz P4 with Hyperthreading and 2GB of RAM, so maybe I'll try and contribute. ;) I could just keep that puppy going forever.
@SiliconAddict: Just talk to system admin. They may not be your machines, but if there's no harm to them, especially at night, it
Question: Would my system ever go to sleep if I'm folding all the time, even at night? Will my CPU be running at 100% or anything close to that at all times? Seems harsh, and another reason I'm not going to use my PB for that. Sorry, but that has always been my main concern.
