Yea, I too question this "thousand dollar" savings.
I just built a Dell (here) (http://http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.asp?customer_id=19&keycode=6V944&order_code=4150P32) and it's only a couple hundred dollars below a 667 Powerbook. When you add what OSX offers in applications, you might be saving money when buying a Apple.
Sure the powerbook might not have a 2.2 gigahertz chip in it, but it still is quite fast, even for only 667. Spend another couple hundred and you have a 800 PB.
To each there own, though. All I know is that a Dell runs Windows XP, which really is nothing special, and has, great, a faster chip. How cares (some people, obviously), not me?
And do you really get more for your money....

I still hope we get a better mac next year. (with some really major upgrades) I want to replace my G4 but the dual 867 is not good enough and I think the dual 1 and 1.25 are not worth their money.

$15-$24 an hour is a decent wage, I would not want to work for $9 an hour though- but perhaps the reward is in the benefits that come from working at an Apple store. :)
I dont know what its like where you are at... but here in TX really its hard to find a highschool/college job that will pay over, if $9.00 at all for begining. If you all know places that start you off at $9.00+ please let me know becuase I sure don't.

MY guild is 50/50 the do a few raids a week, but ya know what.. my wife and i wont play for 3 weeks and when we play again they are always happy to help us. We help out when we play also. Great people. I solo a few of my characters, and do just fine. The is a mechanism to look for groups when you are needing to group, but for alot of things its not required.. you CAN solo up to level 70 if you want to.. take a little bit, but can be done.

Ok.. you're right too.... I just don't like the fact that in some threads mac people use the "crapy OS" as a point in order for example to overcome the speed differences. If you like say that you prefer better the GUI in OSX, I don't have any problem with that. But saying that it is crap, bugy or unstable is untrue to say the least.

at the very least, if you were not a mod, you would be a G3
...and maybe even higher
...my guess is that 604e at the very highest reasonable level is at 15,000, and G3 at 20,000 but i would assume much lower for those levels and maybe G4 is at 20,000
...and G5 at 50,000 or 100,000 since it would be no fun for someone to reach that and have nothing to loook forward to
it could be that G5 is set at a million to make it unattainable:p
note: maybe arn has not decided yet what to give people beyond a 601 and there is no set level for the next level

That way, it would be a fairly accurate depiction of market conditions. :D

Well both versions are released this week.
Seeming the main difference between the two boil down to
360) online play
ps3) six axis support
Other than that both are pretty much identical. Graphically you'd be hard pushed to know which was which, both are running at upto 1080p, but I can testify that even in 720p the 360 version looks very sharp.
There is a demo available for 360 users on Live Marketplace now.
They have certainly made the game harder and more simulation like. In fact its more like topspin than the older VT's.
Shame the 'star' player all look like lifeless zombies though.
Haven't decided which version to pick up, but it'll probably boil down to cost more than anything else.

Unless you wanted bad black and white photos. A color iPod would be nice though...
I disagree, I think a media card firewire add on would be fine. It wouldn't bee so you could view them on the road (your camera does that), it's so that when you're in the middle of nowhere, without your 'book, you can reach into your pocket and offload your card into the iPod, with a graphical confirmation that, say, 50 pics have been saved in a directory by time.
I'd buy up!:D

You have to be joking about the Command tab thing. Alt-Tab has been on windows for ages and I'm sure someone will point out that it was somewhere else before that even.
