exactly my point man, they can't update the Ti book until the 1.25s are shipping or they will steal the PowerMacs "thunder"
so you Ti Book guys are going to have to wait until at least october for your PB

Could the sudden price reductions and Phil's name on the press releases mean that there is trouble brewing at apple? Will SJ announce his resignation next week? (lol, i think that might be a bit far-fetched

What I can't understand is why you would actually encode something into RealMedia format.
Unfortunately, QuickTime player is only available for two platforms, and on the platform with wider distribution the player simply isn't very good.
Trash Real all you like, but their player is available on many more platforms, and it can offer passable video with dialup-friendly file sizes. Quicktime handily bests Real when more bandwidth is available, but broadband availability is still far from universal :(

Why do you have to be registered to download the program? I think it's kind of annoying. Is there any particular reason that you did this?
It's still beta software, and I'd like to know who has downloaded it so I can email them if I find a dangerous bug.
Registration is free, and so is the application at this stage, so I don't think it's too much to ask.
Just in case you were wondering, I haven't found any dangerous bug's and I haven't emailed anyone, yet.

I'm glad someone started a thread on mice I've had a question for a while. I've been considering a mouse with a scroll wheel. I could care less about a second button. But here's the deal I'm a gamer and I'm wondering if there is anything to the high dpi rates of the Razer Boomslang mice. I don't want to spend my money on another mouse without know this. Any help would be nice espcially input if you have one or have used one on a mac.

I love the iBook but it is definately not cheaper than the iMac in Australia. I have looked around and it, (the iBook) seems to be about $500AUD dearer than anywhere else, exchange rate adjusted.
A basic iBook costs $2795 and thats with G3 600 + 20GB + 12"TFT + 128MB + CDROM, while an iMac basic costs $2595 with G4 700 + 40GB + 15"TFT + GeForceMX + CD-RW + 128MB. This has got to change apple!!!

Hehehe ok well sounds like Ill star folding on my ibook aswell, last question(sorry for being anal) but is folding 24/7 on an ibook a good idea(with high temps and all) or should I only folding for short periods at a tim ie 8 or 9 hours, sorry fo being dumb I just dont wanna fry me new beloved ibook :p
All the answers are in the FAQ thread, and this question is asked about once a week, so, here again the same answer: Your laptop can handle the heat, but if you leave it folding 24/7 it's a good idea to get a coolingpad. Also it's recommended to leave the processorspeed on automatic in energysaver. Welcome to folding!! You to Abstract, and nice setup, despite that it is a wintel box

It sounds as if the install process isn't detecting your default shell and putting the aliases into the correct config file.
I haven't looked at his installation script, but if you don't hear from him within a few days, let me know and I'll download one of the packages to see what I can do.

oh, and if the internet provider is giving you the run-around.
http://www.ip-adress.com/
go here, type in the IP address and it'll tell you exactly where the server is that they are connected to. It gives you the IP latitude and IP longitutde.
tell them that it is being connected at this server location and they'll be able to location exactly which hub it's being connected at and .. yea. trace the burgulars home down..

Several days before Apple's announced iLife and iWork release, the applications are available for purchase at a cost of $39 each at University Bookstores.
Impressive pricing. I can't wait for apple to include "Cells" in the package and Tweek Mail/Address Book/iCal (Tiger?) so we have a rock solid Office alternative. We're almost there.
