| Posted: 10 Mar 2011 05:54 AM PST Joe Wierenga is a highly talented but dare I say it strange, if not downright weird, illustrator/comic artist. Just the way I like it. According to his equally bizarre biography he's also an (animator check out his animated gifs!), a storyteller and part-time ninja and apparently feared by the undead. Born in '85 he's been drawing since exiting the womb, or so it seems. Joe loves telling stories through pictures and holds a special place in his heart for comics and animation. He sees a great untapped potential for them as fine arts mediums. Joe graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2007 with a BFA in Illustration and now works as a freelance illustrator in New York.
