Black/Light Show – ROA + Phlegm Posted: 06 Feb 2011 05:32 AM PST Here's a biggie for you, if could have made it up to London I'd have been there for this opening – looks crazy – and in a good way Black/Light is a site-specific installation featuring painted murals by two well known street art names ROA from Belgium and UK's Phlegm. These two are trying to shake things up a little, which is always welcome, essentially crossing over from street art to installation art, which makes sense to me. There will be music and live events too, so if you're in London this month do check out the show. Curated by arts collective Robots who've been featured in the NY Times for the innovative angle on sculpture. Heavy street art influences amongst others make them the perfect choice to host the show. If you're down Peckham way between the 25th of February and 6th March it's well worth a look. I've no photos so far but here's a description of what to expect: Visit www.GiantRobots.co.uk for more details… |
