Indoor Street Art by Paul Baines |
Posted: 29 Jan 2011 06:07 AM PST With Valentine's Day (another hijacked Hallmark moment) around the corner, this seems as good as time as any to feature the self-styled street art of the big hearted Brusse. A Spanish street artist on a mission to spread the love, and not in the usual ways, i.e wearing love beads and making peace signs at strangers, or getting drunk at Spring Break and putting it about too much. No, most definitely not. It's a rather strange time in the evolution of mankind right now, there are over 7 billion of us, many of us electronically connected together like a cheap student film version of The Matrix. But do we love each other? For the most part it's more like tolerance than love. To be honest I don't know if I could cope with an all loving world, I'm just not that sociable. Brusse has plenty of love on offer from including books, originals, photography and screen prints. However this 'love' comes at a price, so it's a little bit more like friendly prostitution, but still, it's the thought that counts :p Let's finish with a quote from the lovemeister himself! "Inspire yourself and inject love into your own world. As always it starts with yourself. On this site you can see a selection of my works which are divided in “Streetlove”, “Love injections” and “Spray love.” They were all great, beautiful, unforgettable moments filled with pure positive energy which I want to share. There is also a shop where different limited edition works will be sold. I love you and everyone who supported and helped me in this… and my family, peace, the sky, blue…" |
